Terms of Use

1. Acceptance
These Terms of Use govern your use of the Murmur application for macOS (the "App") and of the website murmur.dissi.fr (the "Site"). By downloading the App or using the Site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App or the Site.
2. License
Murmur is provided free of charge. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on Apple devices that you own or control, for personal or professional purposes. You may not sell, rent, sublicense, redistribute, decompile or reverse-engineer the App except where such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
3. The App runs on your device
Murmur processes speech, rewriting and translation entirely on your Mac, using Apple's on-device frameworks. The App requires macOS permissions (microphone, speech recognition, accessibility) to function; granting them is your choice, and everything they enable stays on your machine. Some features depend on Apple software and hardware capabilities (such as Apple Intelligence) that Apple, not Murmur, controls and may change.
4. No warranty
The App and the Site are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of transcription or rewriting, and non-infringement. You are responsible for reviewing any text Murmur produces before sending or publishing it.
5. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Murmur's author shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits or business, arising from the use of or inability to use the App or the Site. Because the App is free, in no event shall total liability exceed zero euros (0 EUR) or the minimum amount required by applicable law.
6. Intellectual property
The App, the Site and their content (excluding the text you dictate, which is and remains yours) are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Apple, macOS, Apple Intelligence and other marks referenced are trademarks of their respective owners; their use on the Site is descriptive only and implies no endorsement.
7. Changes
We may update the App and these terms at any time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new "last updated" date. Continued use of the App or the Site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably shall be submitted to the competent courts of France, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence.
